Alyzabeth An - Our Adoption Journal
This journal began as an attempt to capture the adoption quest for our daughter Alyzabeth An. It has since degenerated into shadowing our everyday family life while we endure "The Wait". We are not your typical "young" adoptive couple. To put it more bluntly - Ford may have to suspend further birthdays SOON just to maintain the age qualification! So welcome along as our American "daughter" of Chinese ancestry eventually joins mom Alyson (Maine) & dad Ford (Missouri) in the Sunshine state.

Before the dock gate we would too often be greeted by a wet and muddy Salty Dog upon returning home from work as you will remember. What a pain! Dog baths, ugh...
Salty Dog pretty much stays out of the water unless there is a lifeguard on duty. Instead of swimming for the shallows he just keeps going in circles. We figure he's bound to end up drowning or stirring up the attention of a gator left on his own!
Trust all is well. Love.....
I love the pics of Salty Dog cooling off in the river. What a cutie-pie! Our Guinness would have been right next him, splashing away!!

Do you want Salty to be eaten???? Seriously Dad-watch the news. I am now officially terrified of the water in Florida.(pools not included....except at parties where small kids are running wild near them) I sure would hate for something to happen to the old boy......I know he wants to swim, but just sneak next door when the neighbors aren't home and throw him in their pool...they will never know.
love,
Leaa
I love these photos of Salty Dog!! We just got back from Key West, and while we left our two kids (the two labs) at home this time, we did ride our bikes over to the famous Key West dog beach to watch the jack russell terrier who acts like a Cruise Director for all the other dogs on the beach - it is a riot!
:)
