Just Arriving From Beautiful Colorado

Thank you Laurie for Quilt Square #7. This means we now only need 93 MORE! We love skiing in Steamboat Springs, Colorado. It is so kid friendly. Love the local hot springs, especially at midnight! The slopes offer excitement for every level of skiing ability and the downtown area is great for strolling and shopping. We never rent a car because the local transportation is so good. Most of all we like Steamboat Springs because we feel safe with the kids, whatever their age. Gee, we're starting to sound like an ad for the local better business bureau & tourism agency but as you can tell, we love Steamboat & Colorado!

Wow, we have never been skiing in Steamboat - must give it a try! I am still a COMPLETE novice, having started to ski when Joel and I got engaged - have been to Tahoe, Whistler and Breckenridge thus far. Missed a trip this year (too much work and other travel), but we are thinking about a mini-Colorado trip this fall if there is snow on the ground, and if the loooooong wait continues at this pace.

Joel has always wanted to move to Denver, so that may be where we head to in a couple of years.

We would love to go to Steamboat again and plan to someday with Lizzy (plus our children and their families). Seeing Lizzy and our two grand-daughters skiing would be so neat..... of course, we would get very tired after a half day of skiing and would have to sit at the slope side enjoying a craft brew watching the kids have fun...(remember we are old!). It is a great place!
Even with the long wait, I don't think our finances will support the extra trip this winter....
