The Wait - Update...
Word on the street is November is out of the review room! December and then US!
This journal began as an attempt to capture the adoption quest for our daughter Alyzabeth An. It has since degenerated into shadowing our everyday family life while we endure "The Wait". We are not your typical "young" adoptive couple. To put it more bluntly - Ford may have to suspend further birthdays SOON just to maintain the age qualification! So welcome along as our American "daughter" of Chinese ancestry eventually joins mom Alyson (Maine) & dad Ford (Missouri) in the Sunshine state.

Hey Ford and Alyson! We just "stumbled across" your blog today ... we are "older" parents by many standards ... 47 and 44 ... parents to 3, ages 7-13. Most of our friends talk about their grandchildren, some of whom are the same ages as our kids! Anyway ... of perhaps more interest to you are 2 facts: We are in the process of adopting a little girl from China ... LID 7-26-2005 ... and we live in NE Florida as well. I will send an email to your posted address ... contact us if you wish! Also check out our new blog (just established last week ... a family blog ... not SPECIFICALLY ADOPTION ORIENTED, but of course, our new daughter will become a feature as her siblings are already. See us at www.florida-wild-life@blogspot.com ... and note that we use our nicknames! No picture yet ...
